GlyTol® trait technology delivers season-long, in-plant tolerance to glyphosate herbicide. Commercialized for U.S. cotton in 2011, it is the first glyphosate-tolerant alternative to Roundup Ready® Flex technology. The GlyTol trait, offered in both FiberMax® and Stoneville® varieties, keeps crops safe from any brand of glyphosate labeled for cotton.
FiberMax and Stoneville cotton varieties are also available stacked with GlyTol and the LibertyLink® traits, making the first-ever stacked cotton with full tolerance to both Liberty® and glyphosate herbicides for flexible, reliable weed resistance management. With multiple-herbicide tolerance, growers have the option to rotate two herbicide modes of action to effectively control weeds and reduce potential for weed resistance issues. These stacked-trait seeds offer increased flexibility and help growers tackle tough weeds while keeping crops safe and yields high.
For growers who also require insect protection, GlyTol LibertyLink TwinLink® and GlyTol LibertyLink Bollgard Il® stacked technologies offer the total package. Growers are able to reap the rewards of cotton varieties with superior yield and fiber quality, as well as the replant and crop loss benefits of the Shared Risk Program from Bayer CropScience.
