Muskegon, MI, employees manufacture, formulate and package Liberty® herbicide, key to the Bayer CropScience LibertyLink® system, and Rely® herbicide for tree nut and vine production.

Our Muskegon facility’s 40 acres of operations include five production units in three separate buildings, surrounded by 400 acres of woods and wetlands.

The highly skilled workforce at the Bayer CropScience facility in Muskegon, Michigan combines knowledge and chemistry to deliver some of the world’s finest crop protection solutions, including Liberty® and Rely® herbicides.

Environmental Responsibility
Muskegon preserves and protects its surrounding area by following strict environmental protocols with regard to wastewater. The plant adheres to the most stringent standards using a combination of on-site treatment and Muskegon County’s state-of-the-art system. The facility also employs air scrubbers and a sophisticated cryogenic system to capture volatile materials.

Meet Our Site Leader
Harold Lofton leads the Bayer CropScience facility in Muskegon with 35 years of experience in chemical production and a background in chemical engineering. Lofton fosters an atmosphere that welcomes open discussion of issues and suggestions from all levels, creating a sense of teamwork that makes the Muskegon plant what it is today.
