RTP Operations Bayer CropScience LP 

Geoff Kneen is the Vice President and Head of Strategic Initiatives & RTP Operations for Bayer CropScience. 

Geoff was born in the United Kingdom and holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry. He was a researcher in the pharmaceutical industry before he moved in 1986 into crop protection with the UK subsidiary of Schering AG. 

He relocated to Frankfurt, Germany, in 1997 to run the global fungicides business of AgrEvo and then moved to Lyon, France, in 2000 to head the global fungicides and seed treatment business of Aventis CropScience. Following the formation of Bayer CropScience in 2003, he moved to Monheim, Germany, to lead the company’s Global Seed Treatment Business Unit. 

Geoff transferred to the United States in 2005 to head the marketing group for Bayer CropScience’s U.S. subsidiary, and he has led the joint Bayer CropScience and Ducks Unlimited “Winter Cereals: Sustainability in Action” initiative since its inception. 

Today, Geoff has responsibility for managing strategic initiatives within BioScience and for the coordination of all BioScience activities located in the RTP area. He also represents BioScience on the US Leadership Team.
